Paris Jackson revealed she underwent electroconvulsive therapy — a medical treatment passing a small electric current through the brain to trigger a brief, controlled seizure as an alternative to prescription antidepressants— while battling severe depression. The 28-year-old opened up on the ‘On Purpose with Jay Shetty’ podcast, sharing she did nine ECT sessions over three weeks after coming ‘very, very close’ to another suicide attempt.
