BREAKING: Trump slaps Canada with 50% tariff over alleged trade ‘discrimination’ 0 (0)

We are now learning this Monday that the Trump administration is planning to impose a 50% tariff on certain Canadian imports. This comes as members of the Trump admin officials blame “discrimination” against American businesses as the reason behind the decision. “I find that it is necessary and appropriate and in the public interest to impose an additional ad valorem duty of 50 percent on certain products of Canada,” the order said, according to Fox Business. “The United States, U.S. businesses and workers, and U.S. commerce suffer from Canada’s discriminatory, unequal, and unreasonable tariff scheme.” Subscribe to LiveNOW from FOX! Six years ago, President Donald Trump hailed his US-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, as the “fairest, most balanced, and beneficial trade agreement we have ever signed.” Now, as the pact is up for review, Trump says he’s ready to abandon it. “I’m not looking to renew it,” Trump said last month. “We don’t need anything that Canada has. We don’t need anything that Mexico has, but they need everything that we have.
