I feel blessed that I got to meet Tim Coonan, the lead researcher who helped save the Santa Cruz Island Foxes. He has come to my classroom and has watched the Island Fox play I created. These islands hold magic – they are the origin of the Chumash people – and they need to be protected from now to eternity.
