John Primer is one of the last traditional blues players with a direct link to the original world of Chicago blues. He played guitar with some of the city’s best-known musicians, including Willie Dixon, Magic Slim and Muddy Waters, for whom he served as guitarist and bandleader from 1980 to 1983. Primer has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. He’s made 17 albums of his own and has played on hundreds more. We are learning more this Tuesday night as President Donald Trump says he will be delaying tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian imports. President Donald Trump tried to convince Americans in a primetime address Thursday night that their elections are vulnerable to fraud and need immediate attention. While he did not repeat his frequent mantra that he actually won the presidential election he lost in 2020, Trump did declassify documents he said showed an influence campaign by China, a coverup by US intelligence officials and fraud in Michigan. The evidence, offered mostly in highly redacted out-of-context emails, did not live up to those claims. US strikes 90+ coastal targets in Iran as Trump ends ceasefire 0 (0)

US forces struck several locations in an Iranian coastal province today, according to Iran’s state news agency. Elsewhere, air raid sirens sounded in Jordan as Iranian missiles were intercepted, authorities say. It follows a second day of attacks between the US and Iran that has further threatened their fragile ceasefire. The US military said it hit 90 targets along Iran’s coastline overnight there. In response, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they targeted US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
