Retired Marine Corps intelligence officer and strategic risk assessment professional Hal Kempfer is joining LiveNOW’s Austin Westfall to speak about the latest updates coming out of the Middle East this week. This includes the news from President Donald Trump who says that an American woman has now been released after being detained by Iran since 2024. This comes as Iran publicly declared earlier this week that the Strait of Hormuz to be closed again, according to an official Iranian maritime body.

IRAN, isn’t doing anything of good faith. Stop believing everything the media covers. This is a chess game between powers. Iran will never change. What u need to be covering dummies. Is all these Iranians in beaded right here on U S soil. You know the ones in Austin, Chicago, Michigan, New York City, Portland and so on. How about covering about how they have gotten drones and whatever else on ships outside Cuba. Close enough now to hit whatever target here they want. Damn, how dumb can people in charge with media actually be in 2026.

Not one mention is f Americans detained in Iran? As always, Iran using hostages for money. Thousands of individuals are jailed specifically as prisoners of conscience. This includes journalists, environmentalists, labor union activists, and members of religious minorities like the Baha’i. The regime also routinely targets foreign and dual nationals (such as Iranian-Americans or Iranian-Europeans), holding them on trumped-up espionage charges to use as political bargaining chips.

1 person?? How is this even a media as goodwill. Let’s hear from the activists, where are they? Thousands of individuals are jailed specifically as prisoners of conscience. This includes journalists, environmentalists, labor union activists, and members of religious minorities like the Baha’i. The regime also routinely targets foreign and dual nationals (such as Iranian-Americans or Iranian-Europeans), holding them on trumped-up espionage charges to use as political bargaining chips.
