    its good they learn trades but with how things goin on no job is safe blue or white. 4th industrialism will soon catch up with blue collars too and I guess we’ll be bound to corpos universally with minimum wage till we die

    I find it kind of weird that a lot of elites are telling everyone that college is useless and that they should just learn a trade, yet they still send their own kids off to college.

    As someone who actually worked heavy construction jobs for years before getting my degree, I can tell you that many of these jobs are not for the weak. Working 50+ hours a week, having little time for yourself or your hobbies, and dealing with the physical toll on your body is the reality for a lot of people in the trades.

    There’s nothing wrong with learning a trade, but acting like it’s an easy path or the answer for everyone ignores the sacrifices and challenges that come with it.
