La Parrilla Yucatan Mexican Food is a restaurant in sunny Ventura, CA that serves up traditional food from the Mexican state of YucatΓ‘n. Run by the hardworking Lopez family, La Parrilla specializes in dishes like cochinita pibil, birria, carne asada, seafood molcajetes, and flan. The story of this restaurant traces back to a small town in Mexico, where Victor and Delfina Lopez are from. Victor’s mom sold panuchos on the street, which is where Victor learned his uncompromising work ethic. Victor began selling hot dogs at a food cart of his own, and It is at that food cart where Victor fell in love with Deflina in a beautiful story of love at first sight. Now, Victor and Delfina run La Parrilla in Ventura with the help of their sons Eyder and Emanuel, as well as their nephew Walter.

Great video. Itβs amazing what immigrants and everyone can accomplish in the USA with Godβs help and Grace. What a lovely family.

Born and raised in Ventura and there are a lot of Mexican food restaurants to choose from. This is not the best of what Ventura has to offer, please check out Corrales to see what Ventura is about.

I have been telling people since I moved to Ventura that this place has THE BEST Mexican food! Glad to see that others agree. This family is wonderful, hard working, and very kind people. Everything on the menu is a hit. And they make the best Jamaica I have tasted in all of California. Glad to see them getting their props!

La Barilla Yucatan is a great example of how a hardworking family made their own version of the American Dream come to life. The secret to success is not a secret. Combine great work ethic, years of persistence in building a respected local business, and total commitment to consistent quality and customer satisfaction. Love this place.

Love La Parrilla! Such great people and food! Hi Wally!
immigrants make america great
Very, very heartwarming. A family that has Our Lord, that has each other, busting their butts to succeed from the ground up, immigrating for the American dream. Cannot express the importance of all that. These are the videos we love to see. And the foods is pretty good tooπ
I hope nothing but good things happen to these people.
