King Charles III and Queen Camilla have arrived in the US for a four-day trip, his first state visit to the US since becoming King in 2022. They landed at Joint Base Andrews Monday afternoon.

Every time I hear the name, “Queen Camilla,” I get a little cringed. He’s my King too, but find it hard to call her Queen.

“King” Charles is part of an antequated idea of monarchy. Our nation is in its 250th year after fighting to the death to separate from being under the rule of a British monarch. Why the EFF should we take their political advice into consideration? We have had the descendants of affrican slaves who fought harder for the equality and advancement of american citizens. We do not need “royals” to weigh in on what our government should be doing. They do not even run everything in their own nation. So why waste money flying military airplanes overhead to greet them? All these royals support is that being born special is what matters, like being born with the right skin color. Time to stop. Disney princes and princesses are for white kids.
