In our MUNCHIES Guide to Manchester, our host Kel Bishop starts us off with a classic English breakfast at Pip.
Then, we head out of the city to Cinderwood Market Garden to see how the folks there are changing Manchester’s food system. But after some time in the countryside, it was time to head back to the city: first to Affleck’s to check out a variety of alternative traders, and then to The Trof for some pub snacks.
Next, we’re off to Stray Bar for cocktails, and then dinner at Higher Ground to try out some of the veg that was harvested at Cinderwood in the morning.
Finally, after a complete day of eating and drinking, it’s time for a concert brought to you by Kel and The Empty Page.

For a show about food, it really didn’t show much food.
If you think Manchester is going to be as shown on the video, think again. All the places for food and drink are solid but it’s not as pictured. Still great if you know where you are going though, and nice video
Get rid of the Kel, hire somebody capable and the show will thrive. Check Philip Rosenthal in “Somebody Feed Phil” to understand how it could look like. Yes, it’s not complementary, but gosh, you can do better.
Marmite and cheese is such a cool combination. 😎🤘
