Needs – the not-for-profit run by recently announced Fabric resident Bobby (FKA Bobby Pleasure) – will release its next compilation EP on 27th May.
Featuring tracks from Eris Drew, Edward, D. Tiffany and Henry Hyde, ‘Needs 006’ finds the label focussing its work on raising awareness and funding toward environmental causes.
With the aim of raising awareness of deforestation, climate change and issues with single use plastics, all proceeds from ‘Needs 006’ will be donated to Cool Earth, a UK-based international NGO that “protects endangered rainforest in order to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and to provide employment for local people”.
‘Needs 006’ follows previous releases on the label where proceeds were donated to initiatives like Help Refugees, UN Women, UK mental health charity, Mind and British homelessness charity, Crisis.
D. Tiffany’s contribution to ‘Needs 006’ is a breaks-led cut of dreamy atmospheres in keeping with the Montreal-based DJ/producer’s fast-paced and absorbing sets. Ethereal, but with more than enough heft to keep a dancefloor moving.
