He was a genius and it’s no wonder he played as Henry Jones, the father of Indiana Jones. Henry was so passionate about medieval history and literature. I guess we can say in fan fiction that Henry Jones was William of Baskerville in his past life haha.

I pray for Season 2 to be released. I love the show so much!

What’s interestingly funny and sad and scary is that Rupert Everett aka Benard Gui returns for the show, ten years, after the film but sadly Sean Connery passed away so they had to find a replacement for him…I guess the curse got to him too….And they have a different actor for Adso.

I remember when my dad took me to see this film in ’86. It was a matinee and the first time I saw a guy with an erection -Christian Slater as a babe Novice – who just had a secret assignation with ‘the rose’.

Looks really good. Too bad there’s absolutely no way to watch it in the US. Pulled from Sundance, Pulled from Prime, region locked on physical media. I can’t imagine how heartbreaking it must be to put your art into a series like this only to have some soulless executive ban it from a market as big as the US.
