Opening statements in the trial against Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy, and Davion Murphy began on Wednesday. They are all accused of the death of Julio Foolio, a Jacksonville rapper. The state claimed that the defendants had collected evil intentions and directed them into one common goal of premeditated murder. Lawyers also said that his murder was planned weeks before and happened when the rapper was in Tampa celebrating his birthday. After Tanner Horner abducted and killed 7-year-old Athena Strand in his work van, he was seen on video heading back to drop off the truck. Before he went home, the video from the van showed him shoving clothing into his backpack. Investigators confirmed that he put her underwear and pants in the backpack, which were later found at his home.
