It was more than satisfying to see kouri losing everything she thought she had gained by killing Eric.Throughout the trial that exposed her for the person she really is, i could not help but feel vengeful toward kouri, on the behalf of Eric and his sons. To hear how spiteful she was toward the boys, to learn of the fear and anxiety they endured for 15 months following Erics death, to hear how she mistreated their pets to punish them for loving and missing their Dad, the withhloding of food, the psychological harm she caused them, l wanted her to feel what the boys felt when they were trying to get to their Dad through locked doors. I want her to know what that felt like for the boys. The helplessness, the fear, the knowing that something terrible was happening on the other side of locked doors that prevented them from getting to their fathers side. All the disgust and loathing l held for kouri, dissipated after l watched her realise her future was sealed. Now she will have to live the reality of being reduced to an object. Thats what the boys were reduced to under kouris care.

The sentencing hearing took place on what would’ve been Eric’s 44th birthday. The Richins family and judge Mrazik gave Eric the best birthday present he would’ve asked for, his wife Kouri being sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. I bet Eric’s three sons are happy that their mother is going to prison but sad that nothing can bring their father back.
