Good! Canada has always hated and disrespected the U.S.
2 countries didn’t negotiate a deal over tariffs, China and Canada (can’t bend a knee to Trump). Canada’s refusal to come up with a plan (of its own) has resulted in the tariffs. Canada’s refusal to reach a compromise is why negotiations are suspended. I’m an American who is boycotting Canadian goods and 100% supporting de-coupling.
Tariffs for no reason? U.S. trade deficit is due to the U.S.$ reserve status resulting in an extremely overvalued $. Loss of jobs and the trade imbalances are due to the reserve status. During Trump’s first term, he urged Canada and other countries to open their markets to U.S. goods and reduce the trade deficit. Canada and other countries ignored that. Reminds one of Trump’s urging NATO countries to increase defense spending during his first term, also ignored. Boycott, decouple, boo the anthem, elbows up!
In 017 Canadians were all saying, “wish he’d build a wall on OUR southern border”. But, you wanted a wall to keep Americans out and USD in. Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.
