Iran is ready to give up its nuclear ambition. A senior Iranian official has told Reuters that under a final draft memorandum of understanding with the United States, Tehran has agreed that it will neither produce nor acquire nuclear weapons. In exchange, Washington will waive all oil sanctions on Iran for a specified period and release $25 billion of Iran’s frozen assets, including through direct cash transfers.
