Chicago in the early 90,s may have had a few less homicides than LA, but the per population was a little worse, in 1992 Chicago had 983 Homicides with 2.75 million while LA had 1093 homicides with 3.4 million. Both ciies were at there all time worse back then, while both cities had the gangs spreading selling drugs in numerous cities across the country back then.

I grew up in L.A. Boyle Heights Area and was a 80’s baby (82) and the 90’s when I was out banging. Went to prison for 15 years and got out and did something with my life. I did a 180 and grateful. I work with addiction treatment now trying to give back when I used to sell crack in the mid to late 90’s.
