The Doctor, Jamie and Zoe land in London, where they agree to help locate computer scientist Professor Watkins. Their investigation draws them into the sinister schemes of Tobias Vaughn and his deadly alliance with the Cybermen. Along the way, they reunite with Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, who is also probing a series of mysterious disappearances…

The original master recordings of episode 1 and 4 of ‘The Invasion’ were lost soon after the programme’s original transmission. However, audio-only recordings have survived and have been used to create a fully animated reconstruction of the missing episodes.

I would have loved to have seen that escape scene of Jamie and the girls. That had to have been a very complicated shoot.

The Brigadier was certainly nicer to Captain Jimmy Turner than he ever was to Corporal and later Sargent Benton

Did you know reader, that these cartoon episodes took around 8 million pounds to make? And that cartoons even to this day have a budget of around 50-100k? So, 8 million spent on these 2 cartoon episodes, that was effectively a college student’s flash animation project, a bunch of TERRIBLE rotoscoping and tracing over telesnaps / actual pictures….. I would seriously be asking where the BBC actually sent all that tax payer money to make these, because it CERTAINLY wasn’t spent on the cartoons.
