Maybe he cut himself once he was in the hotel room?
I don’t think Nick did it. I think he was in Santa Monica getting high. Then went back to his place to get something and found them dead. Hugged them. Tried to save them. Couldn’t. This explains the blood on him and that he tried to wash off. He hopped on Metro E Line in meth coma trying to process it all. He got arrested before he came back to reality. He couldn’t believe what he saw and didn’t believe it was real. That’s why he didn’t report.
