Make sense why they are the lost generation because they have to do something different to beat the big three. When that didn’t work they became lost. Sinner and Alcaraz know by the time they go pro the big 3 will likely retire so they just learn the same technique which is the better technique. If the lost generation didn’t act so hastily to beat the beat three they might be able to contend with the big 2.

The biggest difference between Stan Wawrinka and those players after he lost 12-10 to Djokovic at the 2013 Australian Open was that he ended up learning from that match and came back the next year to upset Nole.

Zverev and Tsitsipas have huge glaring weaknesses that the new generation and the Big Three took advantage of. Zverev is the forehand, brick hands at the net and plays not to lose, Tsitsipas his is backhand and the second serve.

Of course we can hit tennis balls as long as they want but they are also not very strong mentally. Djokovic is 38 and his mental toughness almost always wins him matches before they start with these two. Look at Taylor Fritz who is now 11-0 against Djokovic that head to head is “in his head”.

At least Alcaraz and Sinner have learned to hold it together mentally and have taken advantage of their opportunities. Djokovic is not going to rollover and play dead you have to take it away from him and Zverev and Tsitsipas just don’t have it. Australian Open 2025 semifinals doesn’t count since Djokovic retired injured in that match.

Casper Ruud has a glaring weaknesses on that backhand also. Grigor is two prone to injuries to make it seems. They also have not taken advantage of their opportunities when it’s been presented it seems.

Until they toughen up they are always going to be on the outside looking in.

why are we including Murray with the big three, but not Stan. Let’s face it, neither of those two fairly belong with the big three
