Cat is a journalist who has always been obsessed by the historic murder of Ela Roberts. Not just because the murdered girl was from the same town as Cat. But also because Ela had been part of Cat’s social circle of friends.

While gardener Joe Pritchard is currently in jail for the crime, he has not revealed the location of the body. When news of Joe’s parole hearing circulates, the prospect of his release causes both Cat and Sharon, Ela’s mother, to confront the past and the part they played in Ela’s final days.

For Cat it’s a chance to write the true events surrounding the murder. And for Sharon, it’s a chance to confront the man who killed her child.

With so many questions unanswered, Joe’s return to the community could be a way to get to the bottom of the mystery once and for all.

The Light in the Hall premieres Thursday, September 15.
