The Island (2005) is a science fiction thriller directed by Michael Bay. The story follows Lincoln Six-Echo, a resident of a highly controlled facility in the mid-21st century. Believing that they are survivors in a post-apocalyptic world, the inhabitants dream of being chosen to go to “The Island,” the last uncontaminated paradise. However, Lincoln soon discovers a shocking truth about their existence and must escape with his friend Jordan Two-Delta. As they flee, they uncover a world they never knew and fight for their freedom.
