Here’s an excerpt from The World of People, a short-lived newsmagazine-type show syndicated across the country and aired in Los Angeles, CA on KABC Channel 7, that earlier in 1980 had replaced that station’s version of The 3:30 Movie (KABC was the first of the five ABC O&O’s to abandon afternoon movies – followed in that order by the stations in New York [WABC, 1981], Detroit [WXYZ, 1982], Chicago [WLS, 1984] and finally, in 1986, San Francisco [KGO]).
