In 1990, the FBI explored a possible connection between convicted killer Joseph Michael Nissensohn and the 1989 murder of a then-unidentified woman near Kingman, Arizona, later identified as Marina Ramos. That year, Nissensohn, then 38, was charged with two murders in Washington from May and August 1989, the same year Marina was killed. After the second murder, he reportedly left Washington and headed south, working as a truck driver. Though he was a suspect in other homicides, the Washington charges came after his wife said she witnessed both crimes.
