A week before Christmas, Nora’s best friends’ travel plans go awry and she is asked to watch their two kids and dog. Nora welcomes the task – anything to keep her mind of her recent breakup. But Nora is surprised when the children’s Uncle Max shows up too, he has also been asked to watch them. Nora and Max butt heads immediately. Whereas Nora insists on a structured efficient household, Max is the exact opposite, believing Christmas is all about fun and messes! As Nora spends more time with Max she begins to see the true joys of the season through him and the eyes of the children. For the first time in a long time, Nora realizes just how special Christmas is when it’s spent together with family – even if it’s a family you never knew you had.

A week before Christmas, Nora agrees to watch her best friends’ two children and their dog after their travel plans go wrong. Still recovering from a recent breakup, Nora welcomes the distraction—until the children’s Uncle Max unexpectedly arrives and reveals that he was asked to watch them too.
