Video killed. The radio star was the very first video played on MTV that was the greatest time of my life time goes by so fast. I went through junior high in high school with MTV in the 80s. It was the greatest time of my life. It’s so nice to see this again

MTV ruled in the 80s. I really wish it would come back. I love all the VJ’s that we grew up with. This was truly a magical time in my life was totally awesome back then we didn’t have the Internet, but we had MTV and it was the greatest thing ever. God bless the 80s and God bless all of you.

This is not the first three hours of MTv
MTV is commercials for music 24h per day. But of course the corporate greed is bottomless in the US so they said: We need commercials to the highest bidder in between each song 💩🤬
In Canada we had Much Music and my brother called it Much Commercials. Still laugh at that one!

I would spend hours and hours glued to the tv watching nothing but my MTV back in the early to mid 80’s. Headbangers Ball and 120 minutes were my favorite. For me, MTV died in the early 2000’s and I guess it will officially be dead after 2025. RIP and thanks for the awesome memories.

Other than ridiculousness, which I absolutely adore, it is an absolutely worthless channel. Actually, that’s not fair. It’s worse than that. It puts on the most contrived lowest denominator of human behavior ever. It elevates the scum of humanity as acceptable behavior. Most particularly disgusting is “caught in the act” with Tami Roman. If there’s something worse than their stupid contrive, reality challenge shows, this is it. Probably the worst thing on television since the medium was invented. When MTV started in the 80s people on that show would’ve been shun from society let alone elevated to be on television.
But then again the learning channel and most other TV stations are no better.
