The father of 17-year-old Lucy Fernandez took the stand in the case against George Pino, who is accused of her death. Her father recalled what happened that Labor Day weekend, which turned into a “nightmare experience.” He spoke through tears to recall seeing his daughter hooked up to machines in the hospital after the crash to keep her “faint heartbeat alive” before she passed away. Prosecutors allege Pino was operating the boat when it slammed into a channel marker near Boca Chita Key, while the defense argues the crash was a tragic accident and that there is insufficient evidence to support the charges.

I think it’s ridiculous that George and his wife are not being charged with contributing alcohol to minors! I realize they want to focus on the most important things, but that should be an additional charge and his wife should be charged with that also!
Sounds like the parents weren’t concern about the girls drinking, if they seen George drinking they should have taken their daughter with them. Sounds like none of them are responsible parents.
