@SpotterVideo OK, so the Liberty was not torpedoed, she was bombed. She was an electronic warfare ship, gathering signals intel from both the Israelis and the Egyptians. And this info was being shared with both of those countries. Seems the US was attempting to ‘stage manage’ that conflict in order to keep it from escalating out of control. When the Israelis figured out that Liberty’s intel was being shared with Egypt, they bombed it. An aluminum ship fire is a nasty thing, the ladders melt and prevent the crew from escaping the conflag zones. It was a complicated shitstorm.
