Mirra had a terrible end of the season last year, isn’t defending much after Wimbledon. I think the battle between Elena, Aryna, and Mirra for YE#1 could be intense! Really have no idea what to expect if either Iga or Coco, I think next year could be redemptive for them, but don’t think either will get into the big 3 by the end of the year. And players like Mboko and Muchova could also move up. Exciting times for the tour, very deep.

The question on my mind is how close can Mirra get to #1. Top 3 appears almost a certainty (this season). You cited the dearth of points she accumulated after Wimbledon. Appears she’s in the best state of mind of her career & is beginning the dominance that was inevitable for her career. It’s not “if” she’ll reach #1 but when.

It is a bit concerning that Coco as of now is only playing in Berlin before Wimbledon. I wish she would go to at least 2 events before Wimbledon. I wish it wasn’t Berlin, as she hasn’t done good in Berlin anyway. Unless this year she is skipping grass. I highly doubt. But what if she skips grass, decides to prepare very early for the North American circuit? Might be some strategy. But as I said, I do not think she will. I just wished she would prepare more for Wimbledon in terms of more matches (= more tournaments).
