During openings for the trial against Lindsay Clancy, prosecutors told jurors Lindsay Clancy “deliberately and meticulously” strangled her three young children after planning the killings while her husband was out picking up takeout and medication. Clancy’s defense attorney did not dispute that Clancy killed the children but argued the case hinges on her mental state, telling jurors she was suffering from severe postpartum mental illness and urging them to focus on what was happening in her mind at the time of the tragedy.

Her lawyer is a wonderful orator, to be honest.
Utterly tragic.
Wow!! She definitely had some serious mental health struggles going on! You don’t dive out a 2nd story windows of your mentally stable. She snapped, postpartum depression the drugs the stress. She needs help
I honestly feel bad for her. She sought help. Doctors throw out depression and anxiety meds like they are candy. We forget that they get paid to prescribe drugs. She was just listening to them and trying to make it stop. She was just a nurse. They aren’t doctors or frickin therapists. She was listening to her doctors. Who wayyy over drugged her. They should be responsible for negligence at least. They shouldn’t have let her go either. Why didn’t she have more at home help? She jumped out a window and slit her wrists. That is not someone who is just malicious, that’s someone who is completely mentally unstable.
The jury can probably hear the clanging chains because we can hear it in this video
It’s sad & unfortunate that her psychiatric needs weren’t met. They prescribed a multitude of prescribed meds that actually can bring on psychosis. The mental health system has suffered for more than 20 years. She needs proper mental health care. Postpartum psychosis is horribly real and can come on instantly especially when prescribed the wrong meds.
