The Lindsay Clancy trial is entering a seventh day of jury deliberations after a note revealed an 11–1 split and alleged that one juror was not following the law regarding reasonable doubt.
The judge sent the jury back to deliberate and scheduled a juror inquiry to determine whether the holdout juror disagrees with the evidence or is unwilling to follow the law.

Those poor children were not given a 2nd try, why should this evil person be given a new trial. Looking forward to continue getting information from you. If the defense wants to remove this juror they are the only one wanting LC to be found guilty. 😢
This case will lose rights to women if she is found not guilty by insanity. Maybe look at the implications it will have for women in high risk situations pilots,doctors, police officers, etc

@jma@jmakinitrain2356mple: you get pulled over , your officer just came off maternity leave . She feels perfect fine but notices you look similar to her child. Starts having a break down and you were to be accidentally shot and killed because she had a psychotic break. The prosecution will say that there you were murdered but her lawyers can argue that because of the similarities in this case(if found not guilty) the officer in this case would get a lighter sentence for killing you. Then eventually hiring women would be more difficult because there’s more liability. See everyone sees the short term but never what the long term effects of this case will do.
You may say nah that will never happen however her lawyer is putting it on the record that women are likely to these psychotic breaks after postpartum, meaning other women are likely to be in the situation. Which we know is not true plenty of women can and do succeed in high risk jobs
@jmakinitrain2356 if Lindsay is found not guilty, women are cooked. They will lose 100 years of suffrage progress.
Men have committed “crimes of passion” for centuries. It hasn’t caused them to lose rights.
The only thing her being found NGRI should do is put a spotlight on mental illness as a whole.
I hung a jury on a pdf case, the women in the jury were all for giving the guy another chance. Of the four men in that jury the only one that did not change his opinion was I. It was clear the women thought “forgiveness” was their duty. The men wanted justice for the 6 yr old girl. The women were all stubborn and unreasonable and one by one the other three guys gave in. I never did, a PDF has no remedy and should be put away for life. Period. The hung jury meant retrial. So be it.
State of MA wants her off their debit sheet, her care and rehab is expensive and the liability of having her in the metal hospital with her aggressive civil suits under her belt makes all involved nervous.. prosecution opening was all for show. Imo
She will be released as soon as they can without it being too obvious. Sad this has become about Lindsay being the victim and not the 3 children.
They could have chosen not to prosecute if that was the case.
As a Massachusetts taxpayer, I would be f&cking furious if 1 douche bag is the reason this case needs retrial. And during the cold months too. It’s depressing enough here AS IT IS (well if you’re poor like me it’s depressing & sucky) everyone else gets to travel and do stuff but when u have a crippling mental illness…. That’s where all yr $$goes. For years & years & years!!
Imagine how many taxpayer funds could have been saved by investigating both parents!
You have to be insane to kill your kids… but Chris Watts killed his whole family including mom and yet, he got prison for life… there should not be any other options… Yes you are insane.. Yes you will go to prison… end of story.. oh… or death penalty.. which is what they all should get …
I read that “a lone holdout” typically wants to acquit, not convict. But experts following this trail say it’s the other way around.
The 11 jurors wants to acquit her on grounds of insanity.
The US legal system is fucked, and I thought my country was shit.
