Kelly Clarkson’s dispute with a Brooklyn boutique continues! In newly released security footage, obtained by journalist Pablo Torre, Kelly can be seen entering The Art of Play, the shop she accused of treating her like Julia Roberts in ‘Pretty Woman,’ insinuating she could not afford an item she attempted to purchase. The item in question, an animatronic bird named ‘Molly,’ hangs on the store’s wall with a $15,000 price tag (since upped to $15,000,000). However, Kelly was allegedly told the item was not for sale, but that something ‘comparable’ could be found for her. The security footage, which has no audio, shows Kelly interacting with a store employee before becoming animated and leaving the store. This comes as Kelly and the store owner continue to take shots at each other via social media.

Lol, she just wants drama.
Why do we care about this?
Wait a minute, that post referencing the birds price doesn’t appear to be posted by Kelly
Ridiculous. Who bl00dy cares!
Bad look. Most people are making really hard decision about groceries and feeding their families. You know what it’s like to tell your kids, “Daddy doesn’t have enough money this month to buy you anything?” We’re lucky we’re still eating semi-normally.
Good for Kelly for calling out rude customer service. Her track record speaks itself, she is one of the nicest people in show business. The business got embarrassed and decided to double down. That’s the reason he’s getting bad reviews. A lot of people have made the same statement about this business. Everyone gets the opportunity to speak up for themselves and their experience. It all comes down to the price tag on the bird ($ 15,000) you don’t put a price tag on something that’s not for sale! Go Kelly!!!
Ugh – Art of Play folks just need to frickin APOLOGIZE. I heard the owner defending the issue because “they didn’t know it was Kelly Clarkson”…dude…THAT’S THE POINT. And this isn’t a minor issue, this is a problem! This is a THANG people. I have to deal with this kinda crap ALL THE TIME. Stop assuming I’m poor based on what I am wearing. Stop making ANY assumptions. This happens to me MOST OF THE TIME. It’s weird. It’s a cognitive distortion. I am also a merchant and I can promise you, dear entrepreneurs that you can build the skill of neutrality into your customer service folks. You want to do this because the assumptions of your employees derail the attention and focus of serving the customer, and when you as the customer have to refocus the service agent, it can get awkward.
Who gives a shit
