We need a high velocity starting pitcher. The Cubs do not have that until Cabrera comes back. They need to keep some of their outfield prospects as I don’t see the Cubs resigning Happ or Suzuki after this year.
I think they should go all in for a Starter who isn’t a rental…then grab a couple of relievers who are rentals!!! They have the prospects to get it done!!!
True barometer will be the series against the Yankees and Dodgers. If the bats get shut down, there’s going to be no need to go after any big pitching.

TIGERS fan here….I propose SKUBAL for CROW-ARMSTRONG….(actually I think trading SKUBAL is stupid but many in DETROIT disagree)….so I throw this out there…thoughts???
