Inside America’s $66 Billion Bet To Beat China’s Shipbuilding Empire | Made In America | Business Insider

The issue is owners dont want to pay employees properly
That bullshit of its just how its setup 😂😂
Don’t worry America, Chinese Gen Z doesn’t like this kind of labor and pay either, Chinese shipbuilding will decline inevitably in a couple of decades when current employees retire.
When a country’s lawyers make way more than its workers, you’ll end up with problems like these. It’s not that hard to figure out really 😊
Since the 1990s the U.S has been involved in 4 major wars and China hasn’t, that’s probably why China has had a major advantage in shipbuilding even manufacturing, they’re not getting into endless wars.
$66 billion, how many tens of millions of Americans could get healthcare with this money? Medicare 4 all
We’ve retired lots of military ships, aircrafts, and tanks etc…quantity isnt quality. Like how china built a super jet that was supposed to be so stealthy that it’s on the same level as our f 35…but it still got caught by our low radar systems. We’ve been making boat drones alot too. We’ve been focusing on technological advancement. We could override china from orbit.
Just more bullshit that destroys mother nature and takes up resources. All for greed.
10,000 days late? That’s approx 27 years…
I’ve heard enough…. 7 trillion more to Israel
Ships are pointless. Drones and missiles will sink hundreds within hours.
It’s the same everywhere tbh. Shipyards in China are also dealing with a welder shortage—super low pay, but the work is crazy hard and the standards are really high. They basically have to bump up the wages just to get people to join. Honestly makes me feel like something is fundamentally broken worldwide right now. It’s just a massive industry-wide problem. Anyway, huge respect to everyone out there doing the hard work.
They’re worried about having proprietary technology being transferred to South Korea if they got them to built their ships, but if you can’t even build ships at home then how will that proprietary technology even be used
America should stick to reinventing the flat earth theory.
So South Korea is a ship building juggernaut and the U.S. is responsible for meeting the threat of China?
The U.S. should focus on Western Hemisphere and delegate Japan, S.Korea for Asian security.
