Spain beat Argentina to win the World Cup, capping off a record-breaking tournament that U.S. President Donald Trump was quick to claim credit for. Really?!? A U turn decision regarding a red card in football, after political intervention?!? Fists and kicks in a final by sour losers, tanning the biggest world sport’s with a series of tantrums and misbehaviours from Messi’s Argentina team?!? Did not see the game but hearing your description is flabbergasting, what a disappointment! Shameful!
What a disgrace this “president” is! He interfered at FIFA to get rid of the card. And he had to be “dragged off the stage” while trying to bomb the winners photo. And the world is watching. Same time soldiers die and are wounded in a unlawful war. So sad 😢😢😢
If the Argentine players—who were disrespectfully violent and barbaric—are not held accountable for their cruel and inhumane behavior, FIFA will lose even more respect and reinforce the perception that it is mired in corruption. @Reutters
Well done, Spain!!!
FIFA needs to reconsider its stance on violent fouls that can cause permanent injury to players. It is neither reasonable nor acceptable to allow players to commit such serious fouls—fouls that could even end another player’s career. @Reutters
