How a Poor Greek Boy Created Bulgari
The Bulgari founder story begins not in a gleaming Roman boutique, but in a small village in Ottoman-occupied Greece, where a silversmith’s son had nothing but skilled hands and a wild dream. Sotirios Voulgaris—one of eleven children, whose village was repeatedly burned and whose family shop was robbed in Naples—somehow built a Greek immigrant success story that would grow into one of the most legendary jewelry empires on earth. From his desperate escape and reinvention in Rome to eventually dressing Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, and Audrey Hepburn in the world’s finest jewels, his journey is one of resilience and vision. The BVLGARI history spans 150 years, a $6 billion LVMH acquisition, and a return to the founder’s Epirus homeland, and it includes one remarkable twist about his name change that reveals the full genius behind this luxury brand origin story. If you love the real tales behind iconic empires, subscribe and hit the bell—new stories drop every week.

Until this day there are hundreds of thousands Bulgarians who live in northern Greece. I personally drove in the region and talked to them in their villages in pure Bulgarian language but only after they are sure I was not a Greek because they are banned to use Bulgarian in public places and Greece does not recognize Bulgarian minority exists. Which is understandable – makes the pretense that they didn’t occupy and annexed territory populated by majority Bulgarians during the Second Balkan War easier to defend.
Remarcable trajectory in life and business.
All my admiration!😊❤👍
AI visuals don’t do justice to the story
11:51 how many times will the producer repeat the same information?
the producers are being paid by the minute.
Why in the begining of the video you show a Church birth book where Bulgari was listed is in Bulgarian?? Did his parents atended Bulgarian Church???
Bulgari sound slike burglary maybe that si why they were robbed all the time.
Voulgaris and Kremos were another Greeks making Bulgarians jealous
Amazing how everyone wants to be Greek .
If a Greek is famous immediately he is not Greek but another nation.
Poor Greek boy with a Bulgarian surname! He himself named the brand BULGARI to ascertain his roots
“Are you jealous? poorslavobulgar. Look at the name Dimitris Ketipov.(Do you think if you change the Greek name Dimitris to Dimitar that it magically become Bulgarian?) the first name is Greek and the last name is Russian. Just because you have no own culture. The desperate attempt to make everything starting with the letter ‘B’ to be ‘Bulgarian-Turkish-Asparuh’. He was not what you claim. Enough with the desperation. By your poor logic, a person last-named Germanos would be German.”
they never said thet they were bulgarians. Bulgaria has many greek villages and names also , starting from Sofia!
Sish Kebob is Greek ! Originated from Sishaki Kebobis 😂 Ottoman Turks take over their villages than Mr. & Mrs. Sishaki moved to Astoria , Queen before continent and NY found ! Everything and everyone is accually Greek. 😂
Ptamos🫧💚🤍😇.
