The storyline was epic chronologging the events of Hoy’s life leading to him signing with a MLB team. The screenplay writer took the plot on a long, drawn-out journey to get to the point, and failed to include any scenes of his legendary professional career.
A movie and it’s acting performances are only as good as the director’s ability to capture the character’s personalities and realistic performances. The director David Risotto fell sadly short of portraying anything close to capturing a realistic depiction of Hoy’s dynamic, explosive speed and his powerful throwing arm, along with the other player’s elevated abilities in the simulated live action baseball scenes.
They were not only. “Not Great”, the directed scenes were absolutely pathetic, and even a shameful portrayal of realistic, superior athleticism with his characters jogging to catch the hit balls, and then throwing the ball with soft, lobbed arches like some adolescent young schoolgirls playing ball during school recess.

Wonder why he has not been elected to the Hall of Fame.
