Albarino is excellent sushi wine. The brightness and salinity goes so well with the raw fish and rice.
Champagne is another classic pairing with sushi. Some grower juice and a sushi boat worth of nigiri? Get out of my way.
I love albarino but I always felt like I was cheap because of its relative price. I love Jonathan’s approach of drinking what you like because you like it. And thanks to this episode I know now that I’m not cheap I just have a “seaside” taste!

In today’s economy, most people would really appreciate a bottle that they can get for far less than $37. Don’t pretend we should think that is a value. I’ve cut out alcohol altogether and while I miss enjoying wine, I can’t say that I would be taking home bottles at that price on a regular basis.
Finally someone with taste in movies. Click was the best. It had everything that life would teach you
