Madonna and Taylor Swift lead the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards nominations, with 11 and nine nods, respectively. Other top contenders include Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter with seven each and Bruno Mars with five. After eight years taking place in New York and New Jersey, the VMAs are heading back to Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE. The show airs live on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and MTV, and streaming on Paramount+.
