Vivian Tu, aka Your Rich BFF, shares how she went from making financial mistakes to building a community of more than 10 million people learning to get smarter with their money.

Tu breaks down her simple “STRIP” framework for saving, paying down debt, investing, and planning for the future—and explains why financial literacy can be a pathway to freedom, choice and opportunity.

“Money is a tool, it’s a resource, it’s a skill, and it’s a muscle that you can flex and build stronger over time.”

Since everyone keeps asking, it’s Behind the Dark Side of Power by Elliot Westmore. Just don’t open it expecting chapter 7 to contain some secret button that prints money lol. The parts that stuck with me weren’t even the dramatic ones, it was mostly normal everyday behavior where I caught myself thinking “damn… I do that”

One thing I hate admitting is how many expensive decisions I’ve made because they felt like the “next normal step.” Phone is two years old? upgrade. Earn a little more? better car. Can afford a nicer apartment? move. Behind the Dark Side of Power by Elliot Westmore made me realize how rarely I stopped and asked whether I actually wanted the upgrade or just wanted proof that I was moving forward

Honestly, watching this video hit home. Coming from a background where we literally counted pennies just to buy groceries, I never thought financial freedom was an option. A few years ago, I diversified into a mix of blue-chip stocks, Bitcoin, bonds, and selected altcoins, and it completely changed my family’s trajectory. Balancing a regular 9-to-5 while letting compound interest and strategic crypto swings work in the background is the real cheat code for building generational wealth that lasts well into retirement. Anyone can do this if they stop letting fear run the show. Would love to hear your thoughts on how you’re balancing your portfolio right now?

I totally feel that struggle, I lost a good chunk early on trying to guess market trends on my own. Honestly, the turning point for me was when I stopped guessing and started learning under a professional mentor, Robert Gene Richmond Jr. He taught me risk management, how to balance safe bonds with high-growth Bitcoin positions, and how to read market charts like a pro while working full-time. If you’re serious about changing your family’s life, you shouldn’t navigate this alone.

Always double-check the admin before connecting, make sure to copy-paste the exact username directly into the TG search bar to verify them instantly. Scammers often create fake accounts by adding numbers, extra letters, or special characters to mimic legitimate profiles, so look closely for these subtle differences. For maximum safety, confirm you’re talking to the right person by checking if the displayed channel name matches the Admin’s verified name that has the blue tick on the official page; if they don’t align, exit immediately, it’s likely a scam.

Take a moment to ensure everything checks out before sending any funds or personal info to protect your capital from potential theft. Stay vigilant and keep an eye out for those small red flags that could lead to losing hard-earned money.

I remember a few years ago, Vivian had a TikTok go viral on how to use websites that pass the paywall on Forbes and Business Insider — essentially teaching people how to steal the work of journalists for free. Forbes is wild for platforming her, though there’s only 40 comments here for a video with 140K views, so I’m sure no one’s watching this and the views are just paid for.
