I think to make it more accessible alternate between Indian Wells and an indoor facility in Europe like Turin with the men …do something like Canadian Open where the men and women alternate between Toronto and Montreal every year.

    Good news for the ladies.
Playing womens tennis in the middle east was a ridiculous idea for a bunch of reasons and was just a greedy cash grab.

I know Martina has ussues with Saudi Arabia. That country has come a long way toward women’s rights. Seeing young women wearing short skirts, showing their legs, showing bare arms and shoulders, etc. Is a long way from just 10 years ago. Western culture needs to recognize this as a positive step forward for Saudi women. We are two different cultures.

Moving out of Saudi Arabia is not welcome (not that it matters). The issue is that the biggest move for them apart from the Oil money was the need to change attitudes and champions rights of Women in the region. They haven’t achieved the latter and yet they’re already moving out. Pure hypocrisy. Going back to China after Peng’s issue, going and now moving out of Saudi Arabia after having almost zero impact. Aah, they should restore Russian tournaments like the Prestigious St. Petersburg trophy or Kremlin cup. All the ‘human rights’ chant as we see it is pure hypocrisy!
