Camila Alvarez, one of the teens who was on George Pino’s boat in September 2022, took the stand on Tuesday to discuss the chaotic scene. She recalled what happened prior to the boat flipping and then seeing a bunch of her friends and the Pino’s in the water after the crash. Alvarez got emotional speaking about the incident and also recalled seeing her friend, Lucy Fernandez, getting CPR on the boat. George Pino is charged with vessel homicide and manslaughter for the death of 17-year-old Lucy Fernandez.

This whole situation is a mess, lock em all up, so many maritime (common sense) laws broken here. I guess the driver gets a longer sentence but how in hell is minors and adults drinking in a boat on the water a controlled environment? Lock em all up the kids too

You mean to tell me I watched this entire video to not find out the ending of the trial? So I watched this in its entirety, and I don’t know if anyone paid for this horrible mistake and didn’t find out how the accident happened??? Wow!!

I really do hate to make the following comments when someone lost their daughter, which is such a tragic event, Especially to see her in the condition she was in after the accident as a parent.
But I can’t help to say how extremely irresponsible this was of every adult and parent involved to allow underage teenagers to be drinking at all let alone on a boat and then the teenagers going out into the water to swim. First of all it’s illegal, and I would think that all parents that allowed these teenagers to drink would be arrested.. Due to their negligence as parents, they have caused the death of a beautiful young girl that had her whole life ahead of her. The fact that this girl’s father said that this was a normal event when they would get together at this place and always allow their teenagers to drink is absolutely disgusting! It was just a matter of time before a serious accident was going to happen since this was often allowed.
I would never ever trust my children with parents like this, especially when we’re talking about the dangers on a boat in the water with alcohol involved.
Unfortunately, nowhere in this story did they detail how this boat capsized because the video was cut short so we don’t have the full story and I will never now who they held responsible.
The fact that the friend who drove the boat that his daughter was on seems to be the only one that’s being prosecuted seems wrong. There is many parents involved that needs to face charges for negligence. 😭
