Shailene Woodley revealed the brutal moment she found out she was cut from 2014’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” Despite being cast as Mary Jane opposite Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker — and even filming several scenes together — the actress said said producers decided her character shouldn’t overlap with Gwen Stacey, played by Emma Stone. See what Woodley said about the experience on the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations series.

Wao…😢 that is bad stuff😮😮
Thats messed up
So, this has absolutely nothing to do with the current Spider-Man films, because of course it wouldn’t. 🤨 Anyway, parts get cut from movies all the time. There were even actors cut from Brand New Day. But in this case with Shailene Woodley it makes absolute perfect sense to cut Maryjane Watson while Gwen Stacy was still a central character.
So sad for Shailene Woodley 😢😢😢
