me personally, lets say i have a 10,000 dollar account and am risking 100 per trade (1%). If I am using a 1 ATR stop on a stock with a 10%ATR, my position size would be 1,000 with a 10% stop, 100 dollar risk.

The key is that your strategy has to have a defined risk for every trade then you can base everything off of that. I am definitely not Webby, but maybe you’ll find this helpful

    It Is actually awesome.
Do you guys have a drop-stop for portfolio?
Like 2 Atr down – sell it all?
Also – potentially one could reduce a potential drop with options – hedge with cheap otm puts to reduce high ATRof a stock after, say, when it 4-5 ATR above ma50.
