Everyone wants to coddle the ones they so desperately want to see win. Making excuses for them when they dont. They’re no different then any other athlete in any other sport. Be happy and gracious when you do win and quit pouting like a baby when you dont. Heres a thought … maybe shes just not that good as the other top players right now . 🙄
I remember how impressed I was when she beat Coco in the US Open. Consoling a crying 15 year old. It was absolutely genuine. Fast forward to now, she’s a mess, mentally and physically. She blames a lot of her losses on her state of mind and the negative press, when it seems that it’s her ability and play is the real reason. She has made a lot of money already, maybe time to hang up the racket? Get her life in order. I know her mother is Japanese, but I don’t understand why she isn’t listed as an American player since she moved to the USA when she was 3 and learned to play here. Just saying, don’t matter.
