Swift is an NYC and NY tax payer. She’s been a resident of NYC since 2014. She owns a loft and two condos there so she certainly pays a lot in real estate taxes. Plus as an NYC and NY resident she pays income taxes to the city and to the state. The city of NY named her welcome ambassador in 2014 when she moved there. Plus they use her song Welcome to NY as the Official NYC song. Swift donates all proceedings of the song to NYC Public Schools.
