I go to the store and I pay about $2.50 for a thing of ice cream. It’s going to be more if you go out and they serve it to you obviously but still 15 bucks is a rip-off even if they are serving it to you.
Prices in the US are rising and catching up to what it typically costs for things in Europe. A 15 dollar ice cream is crazy though, we can buy a ben a jerries for maybe 9 dollars. And thats one of their tubs not a couple scoops.
I remember Americans crying that hamburgers would cost more if minimum wage increased and if everyone got universal healthcare. Now you still have low wages and no healthcare and prices are matching europe.

I make my own bread, how much is 2 cups of flour, bit of starter, 1 cup of free water, 20 g of salt. Mix, wait, bake? Simple , easy, cheap.
I make my own pasta. 100g of flour, 1 egg, a bit of salt, and 1-2 spoons of free water! This gives me 2 dinners. How much was that pasta?
I make my own pizza, very cheap.
I make my own ice cream, a bit of cream, fruit, milk, egg, vanilla, and sugar. It’s cheap.
In conclusion… people today are very lazy. Don’t tell me you can’t cook, because it’s a learnable skill, with millions of tutorials on YouTube.

Girl, I spent $8 plus tax (almost half my hourly wage) on a two scoop cup with no toppings just to feel distracted from the misery of my reality. We are all looking for some delusion and distraction because we have grown up in consumer society. Instead of making true change, we are socialized to consume.
Waiting in a long line to buy $15 ice cream because of social media just means you’re trendy lame-o sap.
I’m not paying $7 for a gallon of ice cream.
Fuck that. I just won’t buy ice cream.
