Webb has captured the light from a galaxy being bent. This is the best view ever of what’s called an “Einstein Ring”.

0:32 it cracked me up as the person gave up trying to read the damn gaalaxy’s name!
Astronomers suck at names. 😂
Gravity, what a greatly misunderstood phenomenon.. When we were young we were taught that is what makes apples fall to the ground.. now we know that it is much much more than that.. It is a space time warper.. is there something that warps space time that causes mass to accumulate to warp it more? or is it the effect of mass vs space time that causes it? So many ideas so many different effects.. just plain wizardry.. mesmerizing to me.. for 70 years I just stare with awe and wonder..
So the JWST toke a pic of the channel’ logo.
More or less. 😂😂😍
But it was Newton who in his Opticks predicted that massive bodies bend light. Some 150 years before Einstein!
Cool story and thanks for the links ! +++
