New surveillance footage obtained by CNN shows the moments before 52-year-old Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican national, was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Houston while on his way to work on July 7th. According to a source with preliminary details about the incident, Salgado Araujo was not the target of their immigration operation.

I would have waited until he arrived at the job and him to walk away from the van with his hands full. He would have been an easy target. Instead, they initiate a car chase, immediately making it a high risk situation. I think that a lot of officers and agents get most of their training from watching “action movies.”

Also I want to point out his van sustained damage, look at the before and after video after traveling down “canal street” as mentioned. The black plastic exterior panel on the driver side is missing, you can visibly see the adhesive exposed.
