Explosions in an Iranian port city have been reported by Iranian state media, after Iran targeted two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and US regional allies, as the conflict between the US and Iran escalates following a night of strikes by the US military.
US Central Command says it will restart its naval blockade starting at 4 p.m. ET today, and President Donald Trump says the US will impose a 20% fee on cargo moving through the strait. An Iranian security source also says Tehran will deliver a “devastating response” if the US attacks suspected underground nuclear site Pickaxe Mountain.

Europe is already very well armed. France has long been a major nuclear power, and Italy already has three compact, agile and efficient aircraft carriers. What Europe needs to do is better integrate its forces. Why? To help countries rid themselves of dictators like Putin, who only think about enriching themselves by stealing the people’s money.
Europe must act without delay to completely replace the US in supporting Ukraine, providing Ukraine with weapons, equipment, Internet, intelligence and everything else necessary to expel the invaders from Ukrainian territory. In addition, Europe must help Ukraine recruit, motivate and train valiant soldiers to fight on the front lines. Finally, Europe must identify and monitor Putin’s supporters on European territory, neutralizing the most dangerous ones.
Unfortunately, Trump has completely destroyed the credibility of the United States. As a result, many countries around the world will develop nuclear weapons to defend themselves, because they know that they will no longer be able to count on the United States.
On the other hand, when Trump says that the US will leave NATO, he is telling Putin and Xi that the US is now WEAKER, as it will no longer be able to count on powerful allies like the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, etc.

However, thinking about a better future, there is an excellent project to guarantee peace and progress for Europe.
This project consists of the construction of the United States of Europe (“Stati Uniti d’Europa”, in Italian). All the peoples that make up Europe, including the Russian people, would only benefit from the realization of this grand project.
A fundamental and urgent step towards building a United States of Europe would be for Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine and cease hostilities.
Just as happened, for example, with the French and the Germans, the Ukrainians and the Russians will become friends in a united and democratic Europe.

Autocracies and dictatorships are dumb systems with no legitimacy.
According to Peter Drucker, being efficient is doing things right (doing things correctly); and being effective is doing the right things (doing those things that lead to the achievement of desired goals).
For example, we are being efficient and effective when we drive correctly on the right road that will take us to the desired destination.
And how can we know, moment by moment, whether we are being efficient and effective? Very simple: examining, at every moment, the feedback we receive. In the case of the road, the feedback groups are the signals along the road and the signals that the instruments in our car give us.
Our intelligence, as individuals and as a species, is directly proportional to our ability to be efficient and effective in solving the problems that afflict us.
Dictatorial and autocratic governments not only ignore feedback but prohibit citizens from providing it, punishing those who dare to do so. Therefore, they are dumb systems, causing serious problems, as history has shown.
And precisely because they are dumb systems that impose themselves on citizens to exploit these citizens, autocracies and dictatorships have no legitimacy.
