So this song isn’t used by the Feds to encourage at all. It’s talking about the gay mafia within the FBI, that won’t even acknowledge that I passed their two costly tests in Dallas TX. They just say you’re a hater, while they’re the ones actively committing hate crimes and in the process, drives you to hate them when you didn’t before, but then they use their abuse and your natural reaction to it as their apocryphal justification. Just saw the “official video” of this song–and I was all, like, “What? That’s not the video I remember from 1984!” With a bit of search, found the correct video: this one! #GenXforever
n late august 1984 this song was pre-released to a few radio dj’s before it’s official radio release in early september. I already liked U2, but hearing this one for the very first time completely blew my mind. I recorded it the second time I heard it and could not stop playing it. I hope they can still be as brutally progressive when their next single is played on the radio in late august 2026 for the very first time.
